Hi All

I have been designing websites for our company since 2009, Part of my job was to update the prices on these websites too, this initself is becoming a big job just updating prices a couple of times a month on 4 or 5 sites.

My boss thinks that giving the updating task to another person (in a different part of the country) is a good idea,

so my question is. is there any plugin or 3rd party program that can be utilized to enable a content management style on some pages. I have heard of http://pagelime.com/ but im not sure if this is compatible or indeed useful for my problem.

Any Ideas would be really appreciated as I need to give the people at the top an answer lol..

Kindest Regards

Andrew..

I think Pagelime or Cushy is adding something that is not needed or beneficial to VSD. Why not just keep the most current copy of the .vnu file on the server and have that person purchase a copy of VSD?

Two reasons why. The first is that you will have to add a class to every element you want to change, and any changes will make the original .vnu file outdated.

this is the problem that I keep coming against in regards to adding classes to all elements. in answer to your question about keeping the .vnu server side. the person who would be taking over the price updates is not a web master and never used VSD.... looks like this may be my only option though... :o

Another thing is that way VSD works with text and backgrounds. You may not be able to edit as much as you would like with a third party CMS because of size constraints. These may not expand to add additional text. I can see problems going that route.
