Hi. I am very new at this so hopefully someone can help me. I have a laptop and a regular desktop computer. I have been using both of them to practice building a website with the CoffeeCup software. I thought that as long as something was saved into my working file, that I would be able to access it from any of my computers. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Using Two Different Computers - Post...
Gena,
If you have two computers, when you save on one computer, things are not updated on the other computer. CoffeeCup software defaults to saving files on your local hard drive. There are several ways you can keep two computers in sync.
One is to save files to a server, and have both computers save to the same location. That requires you to have a server, and most people do not have servers in their home.
Another way is to use the Windows briefcase to keep files synced, but that is really similar to a third way.
Third option would be to copy files to a flash drive and move the flash drive from computer to computer as needed.
You haven't said what software you are using, but if you are using the HTML editor, you can upload your changes to your website from one computer, and download to the second computer before using it to make changes. I use the HTML Editor, and before I make a change to a site, I use FTP to verify that I have the latest version of the file before I start editing.
If you are using the latest version of VSD, you MUST have the latest VNU file before you start editing your site. I believe that the latest version of VSD automatically uploads the vnu file to the website.
Hope that answers your question.

Thank you Bill! You have been a great help and I appreciated how quickly you responded to my question. I will get on that right now. Thanks again!
