I have 2 versions of Coffee Cup Password Applets, Version 3.0 and Version 6.0 Build 8. I would like to capture the user name as a global parameter value for subsequent html pages. Is there any one who has done this successfully and if they have how did you do it. I need to test the user name to determine some actions and files they will be allowed to access. I can be emailed at ilepgmr@aol.com with suggestions or examples. Thank you.

I would suggest that you take a look at Coffeecup's Website Access Manager software. It might be what you are looking for.

If Website Access manager doesn't float your boat you could always give each user a unique URL direct passing the username to the next page. example:

However, your question has me a little confused because if you have the coding skills to validated usernames/roles and grant specific permissions then creating a login shouldn't be any trouble.:/
