I wouldn't say that. My page loading speed decreased from about 4.4 seconds to about 0.8 seconds, now that I cleaned it up from a C+ to its present 96/93 "A/A" rating.

The last image that's not optimized appears to be a made-up one, from another one, and gets converted by Hostgator or something, from gif to png, so I'm not sure if that can be tweaked.

Seems like the same with removing the unused css:
.broken_link, a.broken_link

It shows up on the final page but isn't in style.css so it's probably being made up by Hostgator or Wordpress.

I just found out where some more minify settings were for html and css in the W3 Total Cache plugin, so that may improve soon.

I'm not sure where to find the keep-alive setting they mention, whether it's in Wordpress or Hostgator somewhere.
