I had hopes of moving my coffeecup hosted site to a paid service, but that company let me down with inadequate support. But I did get a domain name (better and "independently" naming the site organisation -- my CC site is just my name, with CC), with UDAI, and another company suggested I could pay for hosting, or simply arrange redirection. How is this done?
I did put this question to the "new" hosting company but haven't heard back -- New Zealand is a small company "enjoying" a weekend, so, surprisingly to me, lack of support seems to be a common problem here.

if only site name registrars were as easy to contact as the site hosting companies themselves!

the firm promised me a "refund" but I'm not sure if they'll refund the domain registration fee (and hence end the redirection), but that's a problem for another day -- it's the middle of a cold night here (downunder it's winter), but at least I'm one step ahead!
