This may sound...

I have asked quite a few strange questions in here and I appreciate the help you give, this one
may be completely ridiculous.

I use a mobile modem to access the internet and work on my site.

Due to the modem having a changing IP address, it affects a counter I have just done as I cannot
isolate me each time i go there...

I have been amazed at the ammount of data that is transmitted when using the internet.

And I thought it would be interesting to look at GoogleAnalytics, for no other reason than interest.
What i have seen defies belief.

There is so much data being carried about and sent back, that I wondered if there was something specific to me, ie my internet use, that i could watch/test for, and use as a filter in the php functions contained in my php headers..... Not an ip address, but something else that's unique to my pc, and that's being carried along with everything else.

Would it be possible to watch for something like that and act accordingly when it pops up?

I am sorry if this question blatantly displays how little I know, but I thought I would ask anyway, moving forward.... even if it is over the edge :D

Regards
Peter

One thing that is unique to your pc is the MAC address of your network card. I don't know if that would be traceable, though...
