I create and sell digital embroidery files, and although with the help of Coffee Cup I have put together a great site, I want to go one step further! I would like my customers to be able to download the files they purchase immediately rather than me sending them out as email attachments. I have come to grips with HTML, CSS and I am beginning to look at the more advanced systems like Javascript, PHP etc. I would like to know which area (or combination of areas) I need to learn to be able to add this instant download facilty to my website. I do wonder if perhaps this will be available with the new software due out very soon. In a perfect world it would be!

Although I can't answer which software you need, I'm thinking PHP but not sure, I can say that a future update to the Shopping Cart Creator Pro version will include digital downloads (according to Scott that is hehe) it's just not going to be in the initial release. Not sure exactly when that addition to the program will happen, but it's planned at least and that's a start

You might want to check out the various LinkLok products. They have a whole series or variations for doing what you want in various ways. Can tie with PayPal etc and the SCC Pro can be used as the cart going to PP.
