Hey guys and gals,

Have you ever created a website layout and uploaded only to find out that some of your images are being turned side-ways on Apple devices? This recently happened to me and I was flabbergasted as to why 2 of my images were side-ways when viewing them on my iPhone.

Turns out the images my client sent me were taken from her smart phone in landscape mode! They showed up correctly on my computer while I was designing the site but turned side-ways when I viewed them on the Iphone.

Here is an interesting article explaining why:

I since followed the advice and opened them up in a photo editor (in my case it was photoshop) and fix the rotation and resave the file. Re-upload it and things were back to normal.

Anyways just in case any of you run into this issue you will know why.

Yup, photos have all kinds of info that can be sent along with them giving you all kinds of headaches when it comes to using them on a website. Kind of like copying text from word docs and getting all kinds of formatting issues.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
