Can someone give me the lowdown on responsive design? I know what it is but I'm curious as to how it works with Coffee Cup. The responsive themes that are currently available are only for the editor, right? I'm assuming you can't use them with the VSD, right? What about the forms themes, can those be used with a website created with VSD?

Thanks!

VSD can only make sites with a fixed width.

Responsive design aims to make possible one site for many different devices. With all the new gadgets out there, we're moving beyond one fixed-width site for computers with a scaled down site for mobiles.

Responsive sites go from very small phone screens to wide-screen TVs and everything in between. They're not device-dependant; such as works on an iphone but not on Android. The idea is a site that will adapt to whatever screen it's displayed on, so when new devices hit the market (like the ipad mini) you don't have to re-do your site.

There are plenty of form themes that will work with VSD (just don't use a responsive theme).

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

It's ok to use a responsive Form Builder theme as far as I know that is, just that it won't be responsive unless the website is responsive so I don't think it will hurt if you choose the wrong Form Builder theme :)

Other than that, pretty much what Inger said is it, VSD cannot do responsive websites.
