Good morning to everybody,
I was asked by one of my customers to create a portal for their real estate agency.
The main goal would be to have an internet site with all the contacts and informations and a page (or more pages) containing all the properties they can offer, with the possibility to print them, obviously, and divided by categories.

The problem is that the customer wants to have a special access to the internet site in order to add or delete the announces.
So, he would like to have a user-friendly form in which he can fill the informations and upload the pictures in order to put them on-line by himself.
On the other hand, the internet site user should have a similar form to complete to send his propertie's info and pictures to get a quotation.

...I know this is a big and difficult project, I would like to know your suggestions on which program you think would be better to create this portal.

I usually work with the Visual Site Designer, what do you think would be better to try? The Web Form Builder with the Shopping Cart Creator too?
I wait for your opinions / suggestions..

Sounds like you want a CMS, not a static website.

Hi Tom,

yes you're right, what do you think about that?
I don't think this is possible without a database behind the website, but I read somewhere that the coffeecup applications supports that...I would like to know if someone else have never created something similar...and some suggestion too :D

Why re-invent the wheel? Start with something designed for creating real estate sites:

What this does is way beyond VSD. Just Google for real estate software/sites. There's also hundreds of templates out there if you wanted to use the CC HTML Editor to build it yourself.

If you don't know how to install a CMS and database on your server, check your hosting control panel. Most come with Fantastico or another way to 1 click install a CMS.

Hiya jackall,

Do you have access to cPanel for your server? If so, then you should find there is at least one piece of software in Fantastico that is designed for Real Estate sites. If not then ... never mind :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
