I want to use live streaming webcams onto my website, so that people can watch birds hatching their eggs inside one of my cam equipped nest boxes.
That means that I will have to leave a port open on my home pc, which is used for many things apart from my hobby website.
How big a risk am I taking by leaving an obscure port open?

Although I am not an expert on the subject, I’d say that you are introducing the potential for malicious attack whenever you open any port. How easily the application is exploited is another concern.
