Is a .php file supposed to open in Internet Explorer?

Almost worked Eric.
I get this warning:
The file I am trying to open is part of Wordpress so that I can put a blog on my site. You have to upload Wordpress to your host server in order to use it., I guess

I tried that too. It is all html code. But it must have scripts or something that has you fill in all the necessary info to get it uploaded to your server. It MUST be opened in a browser. I am going to try some other browsers.

I guess you need Apache installed so it can serve it to your browser.

This is really frustrating. Not one single browser will open a .php file but Wordpress wont' work unless you open the install.php file in your browser. Talk about a Catch-22!

What are you talking about? What browser can't view php files on the server? You ftp all the files to the server and then type the path to the install.php file into the browser.

Damn, I read the instructions twice and I still missed the part about uploading the Wordpress files BEFORE you open the install.php file. Back to the drawing board. Thanks Tom.
