paragraph format does not show in...

I am stumped. I've used CC and CSS to design dozens of pages, learning as I go. So I thought I'd streamline one of the websites I've designed, removing unnecessary code. And now the paragraph format (font and justification) and graphic centering refuse to show up in IE or Firefox. They do in the Preview pane (if I set it to IE7 in Preferences, though I have IE 8 but when I set it to IE8, the formatting does not show up) and it does not show up in an external browser. My OS is Windows XP (I know, I know, obsolete), IE8 browser and latest Firefox. Can someone please tell me what is wrong in my page and/or stylesheet?
Thanks very much.

Did you try running it through validation?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Sometimes we have to be reminded to do the obvious, don't we? Actually I did run the webpage through validation but not the CSS. They found 3 errors so now the formatting and justification show up. Still some minor placement problems. Hopefully I can fix those. If not, I'll be back. Thanks a bunch, Eric

Just for the sake of it... ;)

I checked your code, found some minor errors in the html document. Nothing important really. Then I wanted to validate the css, and the validation page came up in GREEK!? I've never had that before. I don't understand greek, so I couldn't do anything

Your sig line is so true. "It's so easy to overlook something you're not looking for."
Thanks again, Eric.
