Question, I have been messing around with a new directory. I upgraded from godaddy shared hosting to grid hosting, and when that happened, my php links directory, stopped working. It will not work on grid hosting. Godaddy swears it is the script, the programmer says it is ok, but due to the way grid hosting uses absolute path, it is going to take time to fix.
So, I installed another directory program, and in its htaccess file, it has:
Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
What exactly does this do?
The reason I ask, is if I leave it, I get a server 500 error, and site will not work, but if I delete it, everything seems to work ok.
Anyone?
Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
Its a handler for Apache, and it does not appear that you need it.
