Old site, old php version, please...

It turns out that the site owner hadn't changed any settings at all. The server (Siteground.com, anyone who knows that one?) had been checking the site, from Bulgaria (!) and then done 'something'. They are unwilling to say what, or what had gone wrong in the first place. But they had been quick at trying to cast the blame on me, saying I had been using some 'custom php app'. Which I had not! All I used was the html Editor and the Menu builder. They also say that they have installed php 7.2, while this: https://jillneimark.com/info.php is showing something else. I'm not impressed with that company.

Well, thanks for taking time to check for me!

They could have 7.2 installed but the htaccess maybe selecting the older version.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I am in UK.

Some hosts adding 7.2 by adding line in htaccess.

Second time this week Sitegroud has cropped up. Problem with WP not seeing new css. Siteground had turned on caching on server but not told anyone. When they turned it off problems solved.

Keith, Eric:
The .htaccess has this line:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php55 .php .php5 .php4 .php3

Is that the reason why I get the old php version when I call up the php info file?
What if I edit it by changing the '55' to '72'? Will the info file then report the newest php version if it is installed?

SetEnv DEFAULT_PHP_VERSION 70

Above in .htaccess.

Another site has nothing in .htaccess.

All using php 7 and WP sites.
