Notifying readers of updates to my...

I recently published a website at www.ideaswithapurpose.com. I add new recipes and ideas every week.

Some of my readers have asked me how they can "follow" my site in order to know when I have posted something new.

All I can think of are...

Ask my readers to subscribe to a newsletter (in which I will list recent updates)
Post a "New!" icon by each new feature and hope my readers stumble across it
Post a listing on my home page of what has been added in the past week
RSS Feeds (but I've researched this and it looks way too complicated to me)

What do you recommend for keeping readers informed about updates on your website?

Newsletter and automatic posting of new topics to Facebook are a wonderful tool for readers to be able to know when there is a new topic on your site. :D

How do you add your recipes and ideas every week to your website? Are you using WordPress, posting a page in HTML, using S-Drive Stream?

I'm using Visual Site Designer. I just go into my VSD document, make and save the changes, then upload.

Take a look here. :D It should help you out with posting to Twitter and Facebook using a RSS.

Thanks, SirAGE - I'm trying those steps right now. However, I'm stuck in the Twitterfeed registration process because my website apparently doesn't have dates in it. Am I supposed to already have some sort of RSS feature installed in order to do this?

Yes, you have to have a RSS setup on your site for this to work... Which you can accomplish here. http://www.webdesignerhelp.co.uk/index. … -rss-feed/
