Hi, Just starting to build my website and Ive gotten really frustrated.. I can not for the life of me :/figure out how to get this premade stuff about "do not disturb" we are designing off my front page.. I would rather have a photo of my product or something cool there.. Can someone help??
Heres a link so you can see what Im talking about http://cowboyjunkiedesigns.coffeecup.com/shop/ I also bought a domain name www.paintedtack.com but my site is somehow on the wrong domain.. how do you switch that?
New here and need some help... - Post...
Dear Deanna,
Regarding your first question, I am able to localize the problem you report in the site's content.
I use the Firefox browser with the JSView add-on. This allows me to see your site's xhtml source code. You can do the same by installing these on your own computer.
With Firefox & JSView, you'll be able to see the source code for any part of the page.
Here is the xhtml code section that is causing your heartburn:
Though I own CC's shopping cart creation software, I have not yet used it. Nonetheless, I offer some observations that may allow you to track down and turn off the "Don't Disturb" stuff. This amounts to a sort of reverse engineering of Coffee Cup's shopping cart code generator based on examining the code it produces.
The "Don't Disturb" stuff is actually this image file:
http://cowboyjunkiedesigns.coffeecup.com/shop/images/styler/banner.png
(Go ahead and click the link.)
So a crude way to shut off the unwanted behavior would be to delete that file from your site.
One step less crude would be to create and substitute your own image, re-using the same name and location on your site.
Better would be to find the "lever" that controls that behavior in Coffee Cup's shopping cart code generator. The above code is suggestive of a name like "Shopping Cart Banner," "Shopping Cart Static Image" or "Shopping Cart Background Image."
I found reference to this image in the third line of the CSS related to the above xhtml:
Hope that's enough to allow you to find the right check box to tick off / file path to enter so as to produce the result you desire. Sorry not to be able to provide direct guidance.
You know, with your jewelry specialty, you should get in touch with Viv, a Coffee Cup user in the U.K. who designs and markets his own jewelry products.

You rang mi lord (nope thats another UK tv series you wont have heard of in US)
Deanna your put your products into the SCC program, and design or re design in the designer program
I think from memory that image is "banner.png" if you can work out how to code (as Halfnium suggests) you can !!
If like most beginners, you want an easier option (the one most of us use) buy the designer version of the program you have SCC or SCCP so SCD or SCDP and you can edit virtuallyy every part of the design by drag and drop rather than code. easy peasy , well once you spend some hours mastering it.
in my signature is delorean website made with SCCP & SCDP give you some idea how flexible it can be ,, BUT the homepages are made with VSD even more flexibility.
As Halfnium said hollar i will see if i can help, likeminded people likeminded products, (subscribe at top to get email when someone replies to your thread)
