My web site takes for ever to load !!

and I Know why but cant fix it my space 2 png is 3k res http://jilmi.org/files/space2.png
thing is I changed that back 2 days ago it should be only width 1000 and height 650
but it dint change so I flushed all my files from the net and VSD

then add the files to VSD then uploaded again
But it did not work

load up the site and its still 3k res and 7.MB big

I even flushed my temp internet files

That 3k res pic should not exist any were yet there it is on my site

That image is 1.2mb. I re-saved it as a .jpg and it reduced the size to 200k.

ok so your saying you see it as 1.2mb ? how come it loads at 7.mb on my end then ?

I just saved that image to disk and that is what Windows shows the file size as.

You are saying that you reduced the dimensions to 1000x650, but in the attached image you posted, it says 3600x2250. How did you reduce the size? If you just dragged the corners, it will appear smaller, but the file size is the same. Or if you reduced the size in a picture editing software, you must be confusing two versions of the same pic.

You need to resize your image. If you do not have a bit of software that can do it you can do it online.

http://www.resizeyourimage.com then save it to your website.

After you have done this optimise your image and save it again in your website.

Do this for all images and you will have a fast download and browsers like fast downloads :)

No I resided it with photoshop and re uploaded to VSD then published to web way before I even posted here

what i am saying is even after I did that and wiped it from the net and VSD then reloaded it . It is still showing as that big on my web page

only way I found to fix is to delete and upload under new name

That is what the browser says that image size is which is 1.128 mb which is huge. I think you must have uploaded the wrong one maybe?

You may need to clean your cookies before you can see a change in your browser.
