Minimalist Horizontal Photo Gallery

Hey all,

So ok, I have been struggling to find a way to display photos in a streamlined, minimalistic manner. Like, I want the photos to scroll horizontally and float on the page. I have so far been using a div box inside a div box but the lack of control over the scrollbar look and finding it impossible to center the photos is really frustrating me. I want a photo gallery similar to this one: http://www.aquabumps.com/recent-shoots/
I've got Adobe Flash Prof & Catalyst CS5 but my god is that gonna take a long time to figure out - which I am starting to already, but I'm wondering if there is a simpler way to do this. Like is there a template online somewhere (hours of searching google has given me pretty much nuttin' - bits and pieces but not the codes that would connect it all for me).
So if anyone has suggests please post! This isn't urgent, it's my own personal site, but there might be a client down the road soon who wants this type of photo gallery.

Cheers guys

LOL, thanks J. I was expecting this. I had already tried it out (a few months ago) but found that it wasn't the look I was going for. But, since my eyes are about to melt into oblivion from trolling the web for codes, I will try again.

Hi Anji,

I have a skin being used on my website thats very similar to the one you have shown,
the thumbnails are above the image, but the skin allows you to put them above, below, down the sides, centred, or not, however and wherever you want.

The albums I create are done in Jalbum, and its all free software just like CoffeeCup HTML Editor.

Have a look here, the skin I am using is called MatrixSlide, however, at the Jalbum site there are dozens of other skins. There is a link to Jalbum at the top of any page..... the 'Frog'

Its all serious software written by serious people, just like CoffeeCup HTML Editor.

I hope its allowed to post this here, but its the best way I can think of to enable you to see,
my site is here http://www.manxmaniac.co.uk/

Hi Peter and Kendrick,

Thanks for the feedback. I will continue my search. I tried CC's Photo Gallery and I managed to make it pretty minimalist, just have to fight with my brain as to purchasing the full version. Sometimes I wish I had taken subjects at school that would have taught me all this - oh wait, we didn't even have computer science (lol how archaic does that sound!).
