I signed up for the Godaddy Visibility thing, but it's just as confusing as everything else I've been trying to use so I feel like I've wasted my money now cuz I've no clue how to use it. I just need a program to do it all for me!!! LOLOLOL, sad huh? lol
I found the software very easy to use. What seems to be causing the confusion? Perhaps I could help you...
but not much I can do about the shop image names (which comprises most of the images on my site) as those are done by the shopping cart and it changes all my image names to whatever it feels like.
Scott told me he fixed this issue in VSD, now they should do the same in SCC hint hint lol!
The tool gave me tons and tons of keywords that I could put in so I went through them and put all/any of them in that made sense for my site and I now have a lot of keywords in the adwords setup, does that matter? Does it matter what order they are in for that at all? Or is that just a good way to see if any of them are working or not and you can eventually just weed out the unused or very infrequently used ones etc.?
Um, well I wasn't suggesting you use the adwords keyword tool to optimize your adwords keywords, I was suggesting that you use it to optimize your SITE. But you can do that too lol! So you're asking now a question about adwords... does it matter how many keywords you have in adwords... well yes it does. You don't just want to use any and all keywords that fit your site, you want to optimize to find the keywords that will get you the most hits for your money. Some keywords are cheaper than others lol.
Or is that just a good way to see if any of them are working or not and you can eventually just weed out the unused or very infrequently used ones etc.?
Yes, you're getting the hang of it lol!
So single key words are separated by commas, but what about a phrase? For example, say someone searches for ‘sailing school’. How should that be entered?
sailing school, or
sailing-school, or
“sailing school”,
Would be grateful for advice. Many thanks.
Are you talking about phrases within the text of your web site? Google can figure those out. I am only talking about using dashes when creating filenames (this includes page names, since that is technically a file also).
Note: If you are using VSD it does not "technically" allow dashes in URLS but if you save the page, close the software, and then re-open it actually WILL let you LOL!
I suggest you do further reading on your own, this is only one article out of many on Google webmaster blog, its a great resource study it to become an SEO expert lol!
