Make My Website Load Fresh Everytime...

Hi all,

I have a "css" based html website that I need to load fresh everytime someone logs onto my page. What's happening at the moment is that if they have visited before, the content remains the same as what it was when they last visited.

I did some googling and am battling to come across any answers regarding this problem I have. I saw an article on CoffeeCup yesterday regarding "refreshing". A user named Bill provided some codes, which I tried, but these didn't help. What a pity.

Can anyone provide me with a working code that I can enter into my html or css? PLEASE? I am desperate!!

Thanks alot.

People put the no cache meta tag in the heading but the problem with that is that cache servers ignor that, so a refresh is required.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

There are a lot of different codes out there, but I have never found one that works in a variety of different browsers and versions. Nothing reliable that I know of.
You can force a page to refresh every second...or number of seconds, but it causes the page to flicker, and each time it refreshes, that's more traffic to the site because all the content on the page loads again and again. I don't know how to make it refresh after 1 second, then stop refreshing. Makes things slow if you have dialup....again, not reliable in all browsers so I won't bother posting the code. I found it to be more of a pain than a solution.

I haven't tested this, but it looks like it's worthy of trying.... It is located at:
