Ok is it not showing up at all in the list? Or is it not showing an image that you can see the thumbnail of the theme? If it's not showing it on the list at all, then you haven't installed it correctly. Which theme is it Denny?

It sounds like the HTML Editor. Do you mean when you go to Theme Choser you can't get it to Preview?

If so this is because with some of the themes that you can buy separate the png file was missed out and a PSD file added instead. Support are working on making png files for those themes.

If you open a theme and look at its index.html file you should be able to preview it in the Preview tab of the editor. Not much help when you want to see it before choosing though. You could make a note of the name and check what it looks like in the shop.

If this is the problem you are having put in a support ticket as well and it might hurry them up with the png files if someone else asks for them :D
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

If you let us know which theme you are using we can help you further.
The css for the theme is normaly stored in the sub folder for the theme called "css".
The name of the css file is default.css. Sometimes there are addional css files in the folder.
Each html page for the theme has a link statement to the css files.
If you look in the images folder for the theme they should be .jpg and .png files.
If you have a .psd file in there that probably is cause of your problem (just guessing without seeing the theme).
That image file should be a .png in wich case raise a support ticket with CC to get your theme fixed.

Denny, I think I may have understood what your problem is (shoot me if not!)

After you had unzipped your theme, you probably moved it in accordance with what was said in the instruction file:

4. Go to the following file path: C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Themes\.

If this was the first theme you downloaded, the Themes folder probably contained 2 folders; '2009 themes' and 'My themes'. Did you by any chance drop the folder of the theme you bought OUTside those two folders, just in the Themes folder? I just tried now with a theme I downloaded, and it DID NOT show up in preview, and I could not open it from within the Editor.

However, if you drop the folder of your new theme INside My Themes (that is exactly the purpose why that folder is there), you shouldn't have any problems viewing or opening your theme. I have just tested it, and it works fine here.

Some of the HTML packs...maybe all.... are missing the PNG file and a PSD file was added instead. This is why the Preview is not showing up!

I am not completely computer illiterate. I read the instructions and followed them It is still not showing up. I think I will just copy the index file and work from there. Can someone tell me how to make the css file work if I do this?

Denny you should still be able to open the theme , even though you can't preview it.

This will bring up the index.html, about.html and contact.html files as well as folders for the images, CSS and JS. So everything should be there and you work with it as normal.

I had the same problem and can work with all the files no problem, just can't preview before selecting, but you should be able to preview your changes as you go.
