I designed my site www.literalconcepts.com It is functional for my purposes. I read what I could find regarding URL submission and added the site to Google, AOL, MSN etc. Within 2 days the site was found on most search engines. Now only 1.5 weeks later the site cannot be found through a search. If you type Literal Concepts, nothin. However if you type Literal Concepts floor palns, I come up. Interestingly I found my url had an extension www.literalconcepts.coffeecup.com and www.literalconcepts.com. Is this spamming? I have looked through various SEO forums, but no help is available. I did find a Website Status Tool. It failed through all ports. I have no idea what this means or how to correct. Any and all helpis appreciated.

The best thing you can do is try to get some back-links... Like you posting your links here. When Google spiders this site, it sees your links and gives you a point (or as I like to say a cookie). That is just the first step...

Here are two articles that could help you...

Russell - Without looking into it (ATM) I'd say that your second link you posted (literalconcepts.coffeecup.com) is you S-Drive/Stream site that is hosted here on CC's servers.

ok thanks, but please help me understand how this all works. What does this mean "(literalconcepts.coffeecup.com) is your S-Drive/Stream site that is hosted here on CC's servers. Does this mean that any alterations to my site go to literalconcepts.coffeecup.com and then to www.literalconcepts.com. Why does the extension .coffeecup exist . I know this must sound absolutley dumb to you guys, This part has never ben explained to me. Thanks for your patience

When you sign-up with S-Drive you get a temporary address of *.coffeecup.com This is so that you can start using the service instantly. If you want to use your own domain, you can do that as well. No one will know about the *.coffeecup.com address unless you specifically use it.

It is that easy. ;)

Russell did you upload your site to your S-Drive account for testing?

For testing? No. I uploaded it and added it to search engines over a week ago.
