Hello,
I am going to try and make a few websites. I have made a few in frontpage, but this was years ago. I am looking for some new tools. I would off course like to know if the CoffeeCup tools are right for this job.
Is this the right forum to show my design and the features I would like are possible to make with these tools?

Regards,
Marc

Let us know what you're wanting to do.
There are a lot of knowledgeable people who visit this forum every day.
If you're working in HTML and CSS, the CC HTML Editor will do whatever you tell it.
If you're working with wysiwyg than the CC Visual Site Designer would be the choice.
ALL of the CoffeeCup software has a full working trial download available.
Oh, and Welcome

Hi Marc
I used to work with Front Page a while back and still do on the odd occasion. If you are looking for something like Front Page where you can see what you are doing then I think VSD is the best CC software for you.

If you know html and css coding then you could go for the html editor.

I hope this helps. :)

I am making a site for my daughter. She likes modeling as a hobby and is now in the running for Miss West-Vlaanderen (Belgium). So she want me to make one ;) For the layout, see attached jpg

Here are the things I want to do. To me (a programmer) they do not seem very difficult and I would write this within a day or two but website are a different kind of animal.

When you click on a menu button:
- Current Menu Name changes (below name of model)
- Picture changes
- Text right of picture changes

A few extra’s if possible.
- The menu should behave as in the following site.
http://www.officialkellybrook.com/
- The pictures should gently fade in when menu option is changing. See:
http://www.models1.co.uk/
- It should not always be text next to the picture. It could be a blog or contact form…

And now the big question. Is this possible with the CoffeCup tools?

Thanks for any help/ tips / time.

Marc

Hi Marc

The example of the first website you showed us is a full flash website and most of the second one too.

I am not sure but doubt you can make this is VSD, please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

I am sure you cannot creae this type of website with CC html editor alone without knowing php and javascript and even then you may need to add flash bit to it (I think).

Personally the closest bit of flash software which is not priced beyond the sky that can enable you to get close to what you are looking for is Swishmax.

I work with swishmax if I need special effects incorportated into a html website but have also created full flash websites with Swishmax. Be aware that you do need to take the time to learn swishmax as it is not a matter of just purchasing and having a flash website in a day.

A flash picture gallery might also do the job that you are looking for and could be incorporated in a html website but you may miss out on the menu options you want.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your answer.
I will have a look at swishmax. I did think that CoffeeCup had some flash components, so I thought it would be possible.

Maybe I should reduce my features a bit.

Anyway thanks and have a nice sunday.
