Guys,

I am sorry if this question appears stupid. But I am homebound and receiving chemo and am on so much meds that I can barely think. So, maybe I am searching wrong. I am trying to create a basic website using vsite designer. I have never made a website before. The Pancreatic Cancer society has offered me about one gig of space on a server that they own. It is free but without any support beyond keeping it running.
I want to have the tutorials able to be downloaded directly from the site without them having to redirected or trying to access my computer as a server. I would have bought the book but I am broke from having to pay for all the meds that bc&bs wont pay for. Can someone tell me how to do this or show me where it is in the help file

respectfully

Marc,

Thats a really good question. To do this you would upload the files to your server via your ftp program and to make a download, you would create a link with vsd to the file.

Say you wanted them to download "file.doc"

you would create a link by clicking on the text button, typing in your displayed text, and then highlight it, then click on the link button. click on link (in the link box) and then click on url and enter for example, http://mysite.com/file.doc

This will download the file to the users pc.

I hope this anwsered your question.

Hey Marc, are you saying you'd like to be able to download the videos to watch on your computer later without requiring Internet access? I got a little confused with the following description:

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
