HTML Editor issue - a silly one too....

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about here. It's obvious that the feature works, it just isn't working the way one person thinks it "should" work. Let's not get too heated over it guys, it works, works as intended I also believe. I've been in testing it myself for since this post started, and as Per said, the only way I can see that it doesn't save is if you have nothing open... but....

I also don't believe that has anything to do with saving "in" the documents themselves. I think it has to do with actively using the feature being the way to save it. That means, when you actually use it, that's when it saves the words you add/remove/etc. I've been up and down in like 5 different ways trying to break it, and believe me you ALL know if it can break I'll do it LOL. It didn't break.

@Guy: It's working fine, no worries ok? Just be sure you're actually "using" the feature rather than "inputting" to it. There may be a reason it's this way and may not be, but whatever the situation, it's working just fine, you will just need to use it rather than setting it up ahead of time. Really isn't a big deal or even much of an inconvenience is it? It's actually easier if you ask me :)

@Per

I asked several times for where the info was held here once and twice (IIRC) in my support thread. Nobody answered. It is simple enough is somebody knows what they are doing. Perhaps you find it satisfactory that a software publisher does not seem too au fait with their products.

CC support failed miserably by giving a completely wrong piece of information. That is a management issue as to why the individual did/said what he did. He is very good and I have had dealings with him before.

When somebody has an issue, IMHO it is not good enough to say that 'it works here so cannot help'. I would not get far in my day job if I took that attitude. It speaks volumes that it took somebody here to figure out where I was going wrong and not somebody from CC.

Per, you are too easily pleased. Sub cancelled do I can have a rest from you.

Stress - the condition brought about by having to resist the temptation to beat the living daylights out of someone who richly deserves it.

I for one am not a Coffeecup zealot who praises all when I think an issue that has to be resolved. They have some real winners that I use all the time and they have some that I think are OK for non-technical people but don’t meet my requirements. That doesn’t make it bad software. Just software targeted toward non-developers for simplicity reasons.

All their software is not perfect but CC tries hard to offer a great product at a reasonable price with lifetime updates to new versions. You really can't beat it. I'm sure Adobe and Microsoft might give you a more definitive response for an ample fee after jumping through hoops.

I’m not ragging on your issue. It drives me crazy to try and follow code that is not properly indented for readability. I still use another text editor to develop my html because all the indentation is set for that editor and is not aligned perfectly for the HTML Editor. So I hear you. But come on, it doesn’t make the software crap. Be reasonable.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
