I'm totally new at this, but as my title says, I am wondering what to do to incorporate Joomla as my CMS with the site designed by VSD? Do I create a link from VSD to the module folder in Joomla for my articles? I understand I need to edit the code to make it Joomla friendly, which I think I did, but where do you put it? I hope this makes sense and if it doesn't, it's just because I don't know what I'm doing :o Thanks

Joomla is incredebly extended and can be edited quite easely, provided you know what you are doing or doing it to. For experienced HTML builders joomla it may seem incredibly complex but as soon as you have figured out the system beneath it, it can be incredibly simple. I will not go into the details because joomla is symply to extensive but here are few hints

You can edit articles using the HTML option in the edit toolbar. You could change this code using any other HTML editor but it will probably not give you the results you wanted because it implents the code into it's own code.

You might want to use the wrapper option which allows you to iframe a normal html page from any location into joomla. Unfortunately you cannot change the content of that page in joomla because it's outside the CMS system.

If you would like to change the looks of your joomla page, please try to edit the template, you can do this using any other HTML editor but just playing with the images and the css files wil probably give you the fastest results.

Remember Joomla is not ment to be used for building a website, it is used to change and edit content fast, immediately and in a very manageble fashion.

It is important to note that any changes made using Joomla will not be reflected in the VSD files, and any additional editing with VSD will undo any changes made with Joomla.

For this reason, I would think Joomla and VSD are not really compatible. You may design the site using VSD, and turn the site over to the customer and they can use Joomla to make changes.
