At moment I am building new web project with html editor, once I made a "newbie" mistake by validating and publishing web site, and only then finalising tids and bits...

So I really need expert advise,

I want for other my colleagues over internet to show what have been done, get some criticism, change what necessary and only then show to "everybody"

Google said that one of the ideas is

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow"

Is this enought? just to add this and upload to URL with no worries?

That will help, but I would also put a robots.txt file on the server as well. Another thing to consider is use Website Access Manager to lock your server down during the testing phase.

Will dig for some more info, if nothing will be simple, then will give a try to WAM.

If you have access to the cpanel some have the software to protect web pages on them.

I will check that, as I just moved from USA hoster to more "friendly" in France and for me there is a new thing-Cpanel

You can use a robots.txt file.

What changes if you have a current web site that you want to maintain public access too while you develop a new site with the same information, just a second go to re-design? Have the replacement site unavailable to all but selected persons.
Using Hostpapa with Cpanel.

Just put the new site in a subdirectory.

HostPapa, GoDaddy, WHOISyerDaddy...This is getting ridiculous.

Why not upload to a free server for trial purposes ie http://www.000webhost.com/

Use unrelated url subdomain IE testwebsite.000webhost.com

Dont tell google or yahoo about it, even if by fluke it gets found it will soon go missing a day or so later.

Then you have a permanent test site, for future use for all trials with no risk of damaging live site once uploaded.

000webhost uses a cut down version of cpanel, and i have two very reliable sites hosted with them
