Can't find anything in the 'Help'- function that explains what is meant by Home page size: width and height (standard 740 x 600).
Are this pixels, and what is the relation with my screen size, that is 1024 x 768 ?
Thanks for any clarification!

Hi all,

To add a to the above questions, is there a standard or default for a homepage size?

Page size is measured in pixels.

There is no standard or default size.

Your page size should be set according to your users screen resolution.
In the past most users where using a screen size of 800x600
So websites would be built at a width of 740px so that no horizontal scrolling would be needed.
Today most users have a screen size of 1024x768 or more.
(e.g. my screen size is set at 1440x900)
To construct a web page for 1024x768 you would set the width at no more than 950px.
The narrower screen width takes into account the "chrome" or the actual viewing area of today's browsers.

Your best bet is to take a look at your sites statistics (usually available from your host) and see what people are using when the browse your site, then set the width accordingly.
