i have noticed that one of my links won't mind the css orders it receives.

here is what i mean - in my css in style i say a:link{color:green;}
a:visited{color:blue;}

all of my internal links (that move to different places on the webpage) work fine, and show the colors they should, when they should, and reset with refresh. BUT, my only hypertext link won't behave.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com">youtube</a> the link works, but it is always blue (visited). if i change the link to youtRube.com, it goes green until i pick it, then stays blue forever.
this is the behavior that i see in CC and also when i visit the website with my browser, and refresh does no good. this link starts blue and stays blue.

anyone know why this is ?

nope. that doesn't work. h-link still shows visited state.

in googling the problem, someone said to clear browning history. i tried it, and it worked.

in chrome i just have to select the used links in the wrench-history-edit pulldown, and delete them. if the link is old, keep going back in time : wrench-options-under the hood-clear browsing data. i had to go back to the beginning of time to erase an old youtube link.

and in IE8 i just have to go to tools-delete browsing history-check history & delete. then refresh the site.

i'm sure that this is the kind of problem experienced programmers and web designers solved years ago.
but everybody has to learn.
and i appreciate your responses.
