Garbled Text

I am new to CoffeeCup but have used several Web Design packages previousy. I don't know HTML, but am a Data Architect/Whse Analyst so am fairly technical.

After designing the site, I uploaded it - couldn't get it to work in CoffeeCup upload so used another site. The text was completely garbled. It appeared OK on my machine, but on my daughter's machine it was barely legible. It looked like hard returns had been inserted, one-line title text was wrapping, etc.

I used very generic fonts (verdana first, then even switched to arial) in an attempt to correct this to no avail.

I ended up just removing the unreadable text and pasting jpgs of Excel files to cover my butt in the interim, but what the heck.

Thx for any help.

What browser is your daughter using on her computer?

A easy answer is to click on the text area and check the allow advance text. The upside is it makes it compatible
with any browser. The downside is the search engines can't read it.

We were using the same browser - same version and everything. She had her screen resloution set to her desired preference and that turned out to be it. So ... there you have it. Thx for responding though.

Well, maybe she has a plugin installed that's different. The only time I have seen a different display is if someone is using mozilla firefox or some of the apple browsers(happens to them with a lot of sites). Try the advance text method mentioned above and see if that solves you problem. If you want to post your page and see if anyone else is having the problem maybe you can find the common denominator.

I changed her screen resolution and everything was fine. I am redoing the site, but it's currently at www.lbsupremesc.com. I know, it's cheesy for now, but ... time permitting and all.
