The crazy part is... I was checking my server stats last night and one of the marine sites I do had 17% IE6 visitors last month.

Hopefully that will drop dramatically from here on in as less and less of the major players support it users will just have to upgrade if they want to participate in the internet experience.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Well those 17% need to get on the ball :D they've been holding US up long enough, making web-designers do double duty just so they can view a website without making the upgrade.

You should do what we do here. We have a browser detection script running and if an older browser comes in, we tell them they should upgrade.

We need to unite to make the Web a better place! :)

Jo Ann - Hopefully all of the IE6 'supporters' have now shirked back into the deep dark corners of the basement somewhere. I'm so glad to 'officially' not have to be 'pc' in web-design. Not that I've really been too concerned about it to begin with. The 'only' IE6 users that I really felt any concern/sympathy for were the ones using corporate/government systems and weren't allowed to use a REAL browser. But even then, you want to see the site, do it from home.

OR something like

I keep saying: the only people still on IE6 are either clueless or using large-company computers. The former demographic can be cured, the latter is not of any use to me or my business, so see ya.

@JoAnn, yes that is the easy way.. IE6 sees conditional statements.
