I originally created my website using MS Front Page and it utilizes Front Page extensions. I was able to import the site into the HTML editor and now want to eliminate and replace all functionality based on the Front Page extensions. My skill level is basic. Any suggestions on where I should start and what steps are needed?

FrontPage Server Extensions are server-side scripts. A type of computer code used to perform tasks on Web pages, such as incrementing a "number of visitors" counter each time there is a new visitor. These extensions support features such as hit counters, data collection, e-mail processing, and database processing.

It depends what you are using FP extensions for. If say just hit counters its not too complex. If your using FP to access a database it get more complex.

When I converted from Frontpage to CC html editor. I put each page through the validator to clean up the code and correct any errors. From the main menu select document then validate html from the menu list.
The version of Front page I converted had no CSS coding it was all html and used tables. Once tyou remove the coding for the extensions it will runs OK.
Try to clean up one page and let us know how you go. Just take it a step at a time.
