I have an eps file someone sent me for use on my site but don't have a program to open it,

I know Corel draw, photoshop etc will but is there a CC program (if so, I probably have it) or any low cost, freeware that will let me open and convert it to a format I can use?

It's bound to look nice -- a 1.5mb logo file -- hopefully converting it to whatever won't be a problem for internet viewing? ....or will it? (jpg, png etc)

Thanks much.

There are some free online converters. Here's one I just found but haven't tried:

Neato. I'll try it.

Would like software suggestions also if anyone has any.

I should probably go eps to png for a graphic shouldn't I?

Hopefully, this logo has a transparent background also.

That would be good for giving you a high-quality image, a copy of which can then be manipulated with other graphics software. For a final transparent image you will want to use GIF.

Do you mean you want suggestions for something to purchase that would give you this capability long term?

I personally use Xara Xtreme (just Google it) for handling vector graphics. You can get a free full-featured trial, and the regular version costs US$89. Otherwise if it's a freeware solution you want Cary's suggestion should fix you right up.

Does anyone know if there is a problem using converthub with Firefox?

I can have my file processed but the litlle diskette link does nothing and the
finished file link (the url)...just displays the text of the url?

converthub.com/working/done/ "big number here" / myfile

it just shows the link -- you can't click on it or anything.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
