I am unable to link to any document with 7.0. I know it should be easy but when I preview it says it is unable to locate the doc or pdf. Sorry if this has been covered somewhere. Thanks

That issue is just a problem with your browser not allowing this. Typically it is part of the security settings. Once you upload your site, they will work fine.

Was using IE9 now using Chrome worked just fine.
