I am having a lot of trouble with direct FTP on Vista. It goes to 'not responding', then tons of blank dialog boxes pop up with no words. you can close them, but another one pops up (with the main window saying 'not responding').

It worked for awhile, but the latest update that just got automatically installed may have caused it.

ps: also, sorting the right pane (the server side) by date doesn't work (vista or not).

any updates planned? no version released since 2004.

Strange... I'm using Direct FTP on Vista ever since May 07. No problems here. I don't remember if I installed as admin or not, but that could be worth a try. And start the prog as admin the first time.

There is an update on the sketch board, but I don't know when it will be released.

i'm not familiar with sketchboard. can you tell me where to get it on sktechboard?

She means in development, i use it all the time on both windows and xp never any issue

No issues here, I am able to use the latest version of FTP and I have "Vista Premium" installed, and I am abble to upload quickly any changes made to the web site...which I am doing daily...As long as everything is working I feel I have jumped from Novice web site designer to ....not a novice any longer..

Which version of Vista are you running? I have no problems on Home Premium, but I seem to have heard about issues with Ultimate...

Anyway, have you turned off the UAC in Vista?
