Changes to website
How do I go about making changes to the text portions of my website without affecting flash objects? I need to make some changes to the text but I want to leave the flash objects (photos from Gallery) as is.
Hi Andris,
Are you using a text editor or a WYSIWYG editor?
If you are using a text editor, I'd say be careful as you will need to know what you are doing. If you are new to coding, the easiest way to edit text which appears on your site is simply to locate it in the code and edit it. However, if you want to change formatting or styles etc. you will need to know exactly what you are about... Safest newbie approach would be to avoid ANY tags - items enclosed in <..>! Just edit the text that is viewable in the browser rendered web site
If you are using software like VSD then you can fire away with ease as all Flash objects are not part of the text editing and formatting experience in VSD and you can't easily mess up.
For more specific advice, post a link here for us to see what you want to edit.
