Catering Website
I've been "commissioned" to do my friend's website for his catering business. Can someone tell me which theme I should use? Of course, I will be using CC products, including the FTP software I won by finding an Easter Egg!
Thanks, everyone

I will also be working on a similar site this summer. I chose not to use CC themes, but went externally to find some that would work as a starting point, but I think I will probably have to customize the whole site. My client will also be selling her products online, which means that I will be using CCSC to do that. Hope this helps.

Just a suggestion from a former catering co. manager here - If you use a ready-made theme, try to find something that offers a lot of flexibility with both content and images.
It should be adaptable for menu changes (seasonal, holiday, sit-down, buffet....), client lists/testimonials, events/news, as well as easy to display photos of food (signature dishes, table settings), and maybe a gallery of event photos.
It would be a good idea to have sample menus (PDF) for clients to print or email.
Having dealt with numerous catering clients, I'd say after price - the next big thing is "what's it going to look like" - they want to know exactly what their $$$ will get them.
As for CC themes, the "I Do" theme looks like it has potential - a good mix of text and visual stuff on the home page, don't know what it has "inside", though.
Sounds like a fun commission

I agree with the I Do theme. It is probably the nicest one of all the themes. I wish they did more like that one.

I would advice you to use a theme that has the menu on the left or the right as it is easier to add pages to the menu. You many find that if you use a menu on top you will be limited to the width of the page and this is not the case with a menu on the left or the right.
Hope this helps

I agree with the strange looking wolf thingy. The "categories" can easily get lost.
