Dear website gurus --

Where are some really great sites for free images and art (and tasteful also -- no cornball crap).?

For example, right now, I'm looking for some background patterns to use behind my logo and although my graphics program (Printmaster) has a few -- nothing that rings my bell.

Has free stuff on site, but can also download "total package" for about $8.00USD. Some of the stuff seems hokey, but I've found some really nice ones too.

Another good site for images and illustrations is http://www.istockphoto.com you do have to pay for the images but it is not too expensive and there is a lot of choice.

I use the pay option: pay as you go and purchase credits depending on what I need.

Be careful to click on the right image size that you need or you might find you are through your credits faster then planed. I made that mistake once

In my CoffeeCup Software folder there is a folder called graphics. I don't know exactly which program caused it to be installed but I suspect it was the HTML Editor. There is an amazing array of images in there, including 23 folders of background tiles. You might poke around and see if you have it.

I never noticed it before. I have tons of graphics collected over the years but even so there are some really nice ones in the graphics forder too.

Yeah, I didn't know it was there either. I was going through my drive looking for old junk to delete and happened to see it there and went exploring. What a nice surprise!
