No, those were books I mentioned, some of the best sci-fi books ever written.

No fix yet, it would take study and I was looking for a quick software help fix. Too bad GTMetrix doesn't have a free software tool to optimize the .htaccess, but they sell help for it.

If what you're trying to do is speed up your website and help keep it online, you could always check out CloudFlare: http://www.cloudflare.com/, which would be much easier than trying to play with the .htaccess. The most I've figured out to do with .htaccess is hide the file extension in the URL xD

CloudFlare will help speed up your website and lower bandwidth consumption by routing your domain's nameservers through them. I've been using it for a little over a year now and it's been great. If you have a forum, it will also help weed out the SPAM registrants :D Sign up takes about five minutes.

I think my current ISP is actually using a cloud of some kind. I was trying to make it more Google friendly by optimizing caching and all that, for speed.

CloudFlare does that stuff for you, but if you'd like to do it for yourself in the htaccess, I found this website that walks you through the steps and tells you what you're doing. As a bonus, it's not that long, easy to understand (in comparison to other 'tutorials') and links to other useful articles at the end :D

If that doesn't help you out, I have some free time this weekend so I'll be able to look into it a little deeper :)

Thanks JRC! Will look at it. Looks good.

I just got some major feedback from a far more experienced colleague and my site needs some major content rework, so that's become a high priority now. Thanks though, this looks like what I need.
