The book was my starting point with CC. After spending a few days reading it, I bought the bundle of 29 programs, so it seems it worked for me :)
What made the decision easy to buy the book, at least back then, was that you could download a couple of sample chapters for free first to check out. I don't seem to find that offer anywhere now though...

After some further checking, I found the place where you can still download Chapters 7, 12, 14 and the TOC for free to check it out:

What is the status of the book? I'm at the point that I need to go back and review HTML/CSS (HTML5/CSS3) and would like some recommendations on a current book.

TIA,

Steve

I don't know what the current status is. The book was very good once, but in the meantime we have html5, css3, responsive sites...
So unless the book gets a major overhaul and update with new stuff, I think you'd better look for something else. Check out SitePoint (google it), they have a lot of up-to-date stuff, both books and online courses.

Also CC has a new booklet: http://www.coffeecup.com/books/intro-to-html5-and-css3/
Ha en riktig god dag!
