Aligning text in lists

I'm having trouble aligning text in a list when the text fills more than one line.

Image attached

I'd like the text to be level on the left if that makes sense. Any suggestions?

Lists should line up evenly on the left. Something is going on with your html or css. Why don't you post the url so somebody can take a look.

Yea, a link would be great. According to the image it appears they do align left - which is what you want.

Hiya Tassie,

When you use a list it should line up like number 5 of my referral page
http://accessoriesoftheworld.com/referralinfo.html

It should indent itself without any extra code from you, so ya I would say give a link for us and we can see if maybe the code isn't implemented correctly or if something else is going on :)

It depends on the type of list. The way you did it is correct because you had a heading for the list (and used bullets etc.) But if Tassie wants to say make a menu then the list might need to be rendered differently. Another reason we need the link - Bring on the link Tassie, bring on the Link...

I don't have it live at the moment. Only on 2nd page of re-doing a largish site. I'll try and put up the two pages on my test site after school drop off.

I probably didn't explain it properly...I need the paragraph of text on each bullet to indent evenly, which it isn't at the moment and it should be so something in the CSS is preventing it.

Back in about 40 minutes :)

I think you explained it just fine! And I suspect Jo Ann's example from her site shows what you want yours to look like. No?
It looks like the bullet symbol is not recognized as a "Bullet", but rather as a regular character that lines up with all other characters - to the left.
Since the page is not online, maybe you could post some bits of code showing how you're doing this?
With that, Tom would probably have some suggestion, judging from his earlier post.
Or so I hope, since I sometimes have similar problems...

Sorry I can't help, - but just encourage!

Yes sorry Jo Ann was in a rush before and didn't look...yes it should line up like in #5 on you page.

This is the original site that I'm re-doing and it did line up there:

and the new site again...

Unless I'm missing the point could you not just add a couple spaces for your second line (in the html)?
