This worked the other day when I placed the PNG over a jpg that I'd set to be the background. Granted, it only worked once, but it worked. Why would this be an intermittent problem?

Maybe I've forgotten the correct order of steps that I took on the first try, so can someone tell me what they are? I seem to have lucked out with my guessing and forgotten what I did.

I do not want to make my text into text links or replace jpgs made in Photoshop with text made in VSD (for variety and visual appeal, I need both, in this case the Photoshop images are a must). PNGs it must be (over both jpgs created in PS and text created in VSD, actually), and ever since I got this to work days ago, I've been trying to make it happen again. Have been through several cycles of banging my head on hard objects already and there's no time for another.
