Been a little slow but the design is coming along nicely.

I had hoped to get a little further tonight but the fonts are giving me a headache!
I signed up for Adobe Typekit & had selected a couple of nice fonts - Proxima Nova Soft & Myriad Pro Semi Condensed.

Put the required coding into the header
<script type="text/javascript" src="//use.typekit.net/dfw5hgj.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">try{Typekit.load();}catch(e){}</script>

Made the additions to my CSS file
body { color: #666666; font-family: 12px Trebuchet,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; line-height: 18px; }
h2 { color: #000; font: 18px "myriad-pro-semi-condensed",sans-serif; font-weight: normal;line-height: 4px; }

reverted the body section back to it's original state when it all went wrong...

The problem is I don't seem to be getting the fonts to appear. I tried with & without the "", adding a .tk- to the front of the font name. Changing the font size seems to work on the h2.

When I realised nothing would work I removed the header script & the font references in the CSS file but now I'm left with a ghastly Times New Roman appearing font on EVERY page of my website. It looked ok in the early days of the internet but now...

The only page I've been working on is my home page but it seems to have infected every other page as well & the shift to Times only seem to happen (or so it would appear) when I took out the header code.

Any pointers would be great.
Cheers.

... would you know it just started to work... the h2 anyway... just looking at the home page

ok... just looks like the body text isn't being recognised any more.

I have noticed while editing with the Typekit script in the header I regularly get an error message
[DocumentSaveTempFile] - ERROR: Unable to Create Temp File
C:\Users\Robbie\Documents\CoffeeCupSoftware\HTML Editor\Projects\`tmA3FE.html
and freezes for about 10 seconds before coming back to life.

Solved it. Adobe was telling me to put in font-family & I had that for the body & h3 but only had font for h2. changed the others back to font: & there you go...

Some more fine tuning to go but that's it for tonight.

Had a good night tonight & going to reward myself with some sleep...
Updated every page & added about 4 or 5 more. Everything is (pretty much) as it should be if you don't count all the under construction pages. Links are working on everything & doesn't look too shabby. Now I can work on some more content & my forms... but now it's off to bed.

I knew there was something else I was going to do tonight... replace the stuff on the home page with a feature slideshow slider thing. Maybe over the weekend that'll happen.

Hey guys, just looking for some feedback on a bit of a slide show I'm working on for my website home page. 10 slides currently but will probably be reduced as I combine some & add graphics. Have only put down the titles/wording for each one so far.

If anyone gets a chance if they could pop over to the link below - trying to get something that is attractive, clear & has some kind of logical flow to it. Any thoughts would be great!

Not there yet chief :cool:
I've just posted a jpg image on the slider.html page with wording I was thinking of using and the order. Planning to cut down & combine a few depending on what images I use. Only started it this morning so it's just some prelinary thoughts at the moment.

Came across this jquery slider which looks quite impressive - http://nivo.dev7studios.com/
