You can do it with direct ftp or on the cpanel of your host. On your cpanel go to the file manager them look for change permissions for the files.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks.
I've just learned that Bigpond don't do CPanel... and for some reason, when I did a change of permissions for the files via the ftp program, it appeared to update but on refreshing there was no change(?) and no resulting difference in the error message I get on Submitting.
I'm going to drop a line to Bigpond & hopefully get some idea whether they are going to play nice or whether I have to find an alternate host.

Robbie if you need a different host with CPANEL , i can send you instructions by email on how to get a really really cheap deal for 4 years paid in advance, with a reliable host i am with.

Better still, i can use the comission i get and pay you for making those stamps and posting so win win, cheap hosting and you get an order in process

if you need it email using delorean (in signature) email address

I just got an email back from support to inform me that if I want to enable execute
permissions then "you will need to upgrade to Premium Hosting."

Currently for $20/mth I have 4GB storage & 30GB traffic.
The basic Premium a/c is $40/mth (+$64setup) & drops me back to 200mb & 10GB - sql extra...hoping to find a reliable local provider - does it make a big difference if say I live in Australia & for example I go with Coffeecup s-drive which is based in the US. The other thing that doesn't seem to be mentioned is the amount of traffic allowed for each level.

At some point I guess I need to consider how to move my domain over to someone else etc

Loving: :) :D   Sprites! http://www.thelittlecashbookcompany.com/stamps.html still working on it

Not Loving so much... :    :( {1} My shocking cold (and I still have to go to work) {2} Winter is not my favourite season {3} I had to spend over 2 hours out in the cold vacuuming out my car before I went home after some kids no older than 13-15 (can't bring myself to use the appropriate adjectives) decided to put a whopping big rock through my driver's window... there was only 10 cents sitting there!

Putting back on my happy face and seeking the comfort of my nice warm bed... :D

Ouch Robbie, sorry to hear about your car. Glad you're loving sprites though, they are definitely a fun and challenging item to work with and very slick to use. Keep up the good work, the shop is looking pretty nice so far :)

I use to have a car that was a piece of junk I would leave five dollars on the seat for gas so if someone stole it they would be able to get far away with it.

Found this interesting Robie.

Thanks guys, sorry I didn't reply sooner. Last week was a real wipe out. Was sick through till Friday though didn't miss a day at work so very little happened at night on the website front.

Lol on the $5 car plan. Guess that would guarentee they counldn't return the car

Definitely bookmarking that link to look into it.

Pretty happy with the latest update to the stamp page - a main menu for requesting designs/puchasing & showing the process - something that will feature on every stamp related page.
Still no links and a little tweeking to do esp on the mouseover of step 1.

Which of the steps has your favourite mouse-over?
