I only need a password box to add a WAM password-protected page to the website I am working on. We aren't asking the Vounteers (it's a local Museum) to invent and use a user name.
So which lines of the HTML code do I delete to remove the user name box?
Or is there another way?

Hiya John,

The WAM login setup doesn't work like a normal website login would that you would access from a login form. Just put a link on your page that takes your users to the protected pages and the browser will do the rest for the login, no need for any fancy scripts to setup a login system.

WAM doesn't integrate the login with the website, it's built into the internet basically by reading the .htaccess file that WAM creates telling the browsers whether or not anyone can access a page/file/folder etc.

Make a Members Only section on your site and put the links there for your specific needs for your members. Then when they click the link the browser will open a login window for them automatically.

Hope that helps and good luck with it :)
