Not sure what I done using the demo, but I thoughtt I removed the 'locks' off the folders but it still appears on a couple of screens on my shopping cart.

It also appears on the preview of shopping cart as well as the actual web shop.

Have reuploaded the shop but still there, cant see any htaccess files anywhere ??

Have you used an FTP client and removed any .htaccess and .htpassword files from the server?

With your profile loaded in the Website Access Manager in the "Tools" menu there is an option "Remove Website Access Manager from my server". Select this and it will remove all traces of WAM manager from your server while keeping any .htaccess information that was there before intact.

If you decide to do the FTP option, like Inger said you need to remove the .htaccess and .htpassword files from you server manually, usually they are in your /public or /public_html folder of your site (however your server is configured), but also there should be a .htaccess file in each folder that you designated protected with the WAM, so you need to go into each folder that you protected and remove the .htaccess file.

I tried each of the methods. No luck.

Whenever I try to close the website access manager I get a msg box
"1 folder has been modidied. Do you wish to upload these changes before quitting?"

No matter how many times I click yes, I get the same message ?

Also I get the protected username/password pop-up box when previewing shopping cart - has the code some how got embedded in my shopping cart program ???

After using the "Remove Website Access Manager from my server" when you exit have you tried saying no to the "Do you wish to upload these changes before quitting?" prompt?

Phew, found a htaccess hiding in a images folder, didnt realise shopping cart was 'pulling' the images from the website not from the local folder when previewing.

WAM isnt for me I think Password Wizard is suitable enough for the limited use I need
