The program is functioning great protecting directories.
However, the send mail feature is not functioning. All settings appear correct but the following alert is the last entry in the log.

530 authentication required - for help go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/sbc/dsl/m … op-11.html
Disconnected.

smtp.att.yahoo.com. Pop.att.yahoo.com mail is downloaded to Outlook 2003.
Port 465. Changing to 587 as suggested in the link does not work either.

Looked at the link above but not sure what the proper correction is.

From what I remember the email function does not work with some secure servers that need some sort of "authentication" or something like that. there is also a note on the settings for email that state that the settings are for you Internet Service Provider and that some accounts such as Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. may not work.
Mine will work with the Original pop account information that was provided to me many many years ago, but it does not work with the settings that my ISP WANT me to use. Luckily, I remembered the old original pop account information.
Couldn't hurt to ask your ISP if they have or still use older settings for email.

That is correct Cliff. In the next update, we are going to try and incorporate a more robust mail control to address some of these quirky servers.

Cliff, Scott

No issues here. I was aware of the warning prior to purchasing. Just thought someone may know of a fix.

It is certainly a convenience to send mail from WAM but not that big of deal to go directly to the mail client.

Still think the program is great and it solved numerous issues I had with using the host cpanel. The export to .pdf report is awesome!

Thanks

Is there any time line as to when the next the next update might be coming out that would include the enhanced SMTP server configuration?

This would be useful in deciding how to deal with this challenge. Whether it is best to sit tight or expend the funds and acquire a service like www.smtp2go.com.

Thanks.

We probably wont start working on the update until mid to end of June with a release sometime in August.

Scott,

Challenges abound. Since my ISP requires use of userid/password and port 587, I thought SMTP2Go.com would be a great alternative until I found out that port 25 is also blocked.

Unless that is a way to change the port number from within WAM I get I will be eagerly looking forward to the proosed enhancements.:D

Why would your ISP block port 25? Your connecting to smpt2go.com on their port of 25, so this should have nothing to do with the ISP unless they are globally block all outbound connections to port 25.
