Protected Pages Confusion - Adding...

I have a page set up on my website, and I'm using website access manager to control access to it. The page is contained in a folder called "Protectedpages" which is inside of the HTDOCS folder along with the htaccess file created by the program. The page name is membersdoc.htm.

I have two problems:
1. When I open WAM and want to add a new user, I click on the "membersdoc.htm" page but all of the existing users appear in the right panel with no checkmark in the box next to their name. In order to add a new user, it seems I have to check each box again for all existing users which becomes time consuming. I also notice that over time, I have multiple entries for the same page in the "folders and file user has access to" box when clicked for individual users. I have attached an image of what I am seeing. I'm sure it's my mistake, but not sure what I am doing wrong.

Should have included the URL for the website page in question regarding protected pages: http://www.myplc.org/membersonly.htm

Thanks for any assistance.

Looking at the screen shot, it appears your database has become corrupted. The easiest way to fix this is the following:

1. Go to the Tools Menu > Remove Website Access Manager from Server.
2. Export your users to a CSV file.
3. Start a New Website Project and overwrite your old database.
4. Import your users back into Access Manager.
5. Setup permissions again.

When setting up permissions you can select more then one user at a time. That will help speed things up.

Scott, thanks very much - followed your instructions and am back in business. There's nothing worse than a "corrupted" data base (unless it's a corrupted politician.)

Hi Scott,

My Web Access Manager has been working ok for a few months now. Member access has now reached over 300 members. Unfortunately I cannot upload to server any more although those already loaded are protected. When I attempt to upload I get the following error message:

Removing old theme if needed

150 Connecting to port 49667
226-File successfully transferred
226 0.83 seconds (measured here), 18.16 Kbytes per second.

The message then freezes and all stops.
Thank you...

If you can open a support ticket and send me your HDB file, I will take a look at what is going on here for ya.
