Is it possible to manage a single site with two installations of WAM on two separate computers?

Hand Eye,

The short answer is yes. You would need to have a way to transfer the program database from one computer to the other. The database default location is: C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup Web Access Manager\Databases

You could email the database from one computer to the other, or you could FTP the database to a special folder on your site. Always check the file dates to be sure that you have he most up-to-date database before you start making changes.

In the next update of WAM, we will be providing a one step backup method that will allow you to easily transfer your database from one computer to another.

Keep an eye out for that announcement shortly.

What about an option for the program to pull the files from the site to edit them if using a different computer? Surely the program could include an extra file on the same area on the server as the htaccess file, or maybe even a line in the htaccess file to authenticate the program user when downloading?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
